Path

I work in the genre of landscape but it is the particular that concerns me rather than the general.  I make observations of the fine detail of plant and soil, sourcing subject matter at ground level. 

Path is a suite of prints made with the Ruderal (plants that grow on waste ground at the edge of our view). I collect plants and earthen clods from sites that have past narratives for example the once used workers' paths of the industrial 1800's. The specimens I choose are at the end of their natural life or deteriorated in some way that suggests to me possible metaphors for a history.
