The Nesting

Collected from the branches of an old Apple tree in a winter garden the first of several beautifully crafted nests came back to my studio.  They were depositories of natural detritus constructed like  the weft and warp of a fabric.  Initially drawn the nest was then printed as a whole object and the  fragments left behind as the nest disentegrated were reconstructed in two dimensions to create new nest like forms.
